The Okanagan Valley and all the fruit orchards that are there influence many of my drawings. I lived in the area for over 25 years. During my time there I saw a vast decrease in the number of acres dedicated to fruit growing, slowly disappear for housing and vineyards. Some of the old apple trees were gnarly and sage looking in appearance. Big Mac ( Macintosh Apple Tree ) is intended to show you one of those old, wise looking trees that are rapidly disappearing.
